Teach for One More Year

Well, we just talked to Gloria, our Weiban, and we have been accepted to teach for one more year. (We had about decided that it wasn't going to happen, but they decided to let us come back afterall.) There was some question, as they usually don't let teachers come back if they are over 65, and several of ours are. Anyway, they were holding up our visas along with everybody elses, but they sent them in today. The big problem is that they don't expect them back until the very last of next week or early the next week, so they still haven't bought our plane tickets. They said we might be able to come home by the end of the next week (Which would be about the 4th of July. We told her we needed to get home before then, and she said we could still go home the 28th, but that we would need to come back the first of August because that's when our current visas expire. We decided we'd rather wait one week on this end rather than lose a whole month on the other end. So, we're hoping to be home by the 4th of July, but won't be worth much because of jet-lag when we get there! TIC! Should give us plenty of time to get packed, though! Mom has already started! I hope she gets it done before it's time to leave!

Well, just thought I'd pass that along. Sure was fun to Skype Shaun and Ed and their families this morning. Hope you are all doing well. We're really getting trunky on this end! Love ya all! Dad.

Father's Day

Hi Guys!
Happy Fathers Day! I know you are all chasing around doing fun things, but I thought I'd wish you all a Happy Father's Day and let you know we're thinking about you and are really excited to see you all in a couple of weeks! I hope you are doing well, that you are enjoying your families, and that you remember how proud I am of you and admire your strengths and goodness. Of all the things we choose to do in life, being a father is definitely one of the most challenging, yet the most rewarding of them all. As I have gotten older, especially as we have been far from our family this past year, I have realized that all of the temporal things in life are just fluff, and that the family is definitely the most important thing in life. I love you all. Dave and Tyler, thank you so much for taking such good care of our precious daughters. I'm so glad you are both part of our family!
Love, Dad.
